Volunteers possibilities

If you would like to volunteer for our productions as an actor, director, producer or any other of the many jobs that make up theatre do contact us. Although Soulfire Theatre is aimed at a particular community it does not exclude anybody from working as volunteers to support the realisation of the performance. In fact, Soulfire Theatre believes the community benefits from interacting with people from different cultures and places, professionally and artistically. All its productions have to date involved people from all over the world, working with the Bangladeshi British community. It learns from others and they learn from the community. It’s about sharing and giving to each other and the world.

URGENT CALL FOR ACTOR - new play by Hussain Ismail for A SEASON OF BANGLA DRAMA

STREET SEDUCTION is a play by up and coming playwright Hussain Ismail, and is being produced by SOULFIRE THEATRE for A SEASON OF BANGLA DRAMA SEASON, a theatre season run by Tower Hamlets Council. The play deals with the life of a young Bangladeshi British man and his struggle to determine his destiny. It is poetic and surreal and represents a new voice that is coming out of East London. We are looking for actors who may be able to dedicate themselves to this production on a voluntary basis during November 2010. Performances will take place on 26 and 27 November. Travels expenses will be paid only. This is a chance for new, and up and coming actors to attach themselves to a professional production rooted in the local community of Whitechapel. We have convened all the team of actors apart from the following character.

CHARACTER: PRETTY
Description: Character is of South Asian origin. She is the sister of Foxy. She is a nervous person and tries to control situations. She is highly cerebral and very nerdish.
Gender: female
Min Age: 25
Max Age: 30

Auditions will start on 10th November and will run during weekdays (daytime) for two and a half weeks.
